Here is a story about an extraordinary God, using ordinary ministers to reach new friends in Eastern Pennsylvania. It began with a group of faithful men and women within the Eastern PA area seeing an evangelistic need and praying for missionaries who would plant themselves in the Hershey/Harrisburg area for the specific purpose of investing in the community, seeking out the lost, sharing Christ with the unbelievers there and trusting God to build His church.

In March 2005, God began stirring in the hearts of a Southeastern Seminary family a call to evangelism and a vision for church planting. Seeing as great a need for missionaries here in the States as well as abroad, Craig and Shannon Williams began praying about where exactly God would have them go. Soon after, a Pennsylvania church planting representative made contact with this deep rooted Florida family about planting in Eastern PA.

In June 2005, God revealed through scripture the practicality of likeminded believers joining forces as a team to administer the Gospel and support one another. The Williams’ prayer emphasis shifted from “where” they should go to “who” would God provide to go with them.

In August 2005, God had already been confirming the Williams’ prayers as a handful of those that they had been specifically praying about (Sarah Miller and Pastor Larry and Mindy Snyder) began showing interest in a new missionary work in PA. As they began to share where God was already leading, the Snyder’s (with roots in Eastern PA and a burden for ministry there) agreed that God was prompting them to prayerfully move forward on a church plant mission.

In October 2005, the Snyders’ shared what God was doing with another family who had been sensing God had a change coming for them and believed God had opened a vocational door for them to come and support a Pennsylvania church plant. Dean and Rosena Maloney and their three children came on board to join Sarah Miller as supporters of the work God was placing in the hearts of the Williams' and the Snyders.

Shortly after, Craig, Larry and Dean made a trip to Harrisburg and met with Craig’s original SBA contact, Barry Whitworth. After traveling and praying over 200 linear miles of Eastern PA, they concurred God was laying out before them a mission in the corridor of growth bridging Harrisburg and Hershey.

In the summer of 2006 a blending of about 16 people began meeting for Bible Studies in home and surveying the community to find the best ways to serve.  God provided two more families and over the next 18 months more Bible Studies and community service projects took place throughout eastern Harrisburg and Hummelstown.

In the summer of 2007 they launched Camp KiDSS which is a very successful summer Sports Camp where children can grow both physically and spiritually.

In December, 2007 Living Legacy Church began meeting in Hershey, PA at the Granada Ave Gym & Fitness Center on Sunday mornings for worship.  To this day, they meet there each Sunday seeking God's guideance while looking to honor Him by engaging adults, children and families throughout the area with a very real and meaningful example of the love of Christ.
